That gap does not close on its own. It closes because communities decide, collectively, that it should - and then do something about it.
For more than four decades, the Variety WA Ball has been one of the most enduring expressions of that decision in Western Australia. Not simply a fundraising event, but an annual act of collective commitment to children who need practical support to access the life they deserve.
Variety WA supports children across Western Australia whose access to the everyday moments of childhood - a school excursion, a community activity, the equipment needed to participate - is not guaranteed.

The need is not abstract. It is present in the child who cannot reach therapy without accessible transport. For many children across Western Australia living with disability or experiencing disadvantage, access to everyday experiences — a school excursion, a therapy session, a community outing — is not guaranteed. Without reliable, accessible transport, it can be out of reach entirely.

These purpose-built, fully accessible minibuses are delivered directly to schools and organisations, becoming part of the fabric of daily life. Each coach supports hundreds of children, year after year - making possible school camps, sports days, community outings and the moments of childhood that should never be out of reach.
