For more than a decade, Plunkett Homes and the wider JWH Group have supported Variety WA in helping children who are sick, disadvantaged or living with disability access greater confidence, independence and opportunity.
Through fundraising, volunteering, community awareness and long-term partnership support, the team has continued to use its people, platform and resources to make a meaningful difference for WA children and families.
Plunkett Homes has now renewed its Major Partnership with Variety WA for a further three years, increasing its annual contribution to $30,000 and extending its support through to 2029.
JWH Group General Manager Jay Walter has been a dedicated supporter of the Variety Bash since 2011 and served on the Variety WA Board from 2014 to 2021, including as Chair in 2021.
In 2015, Plunkett Homes partnered with Variety WA to present the Variety of Choice Home Lottery. The major fundraising initiative ran for three years, helping Variety WA provide practical support to children across Western Australia.
Plunkett Homes became a Major Partner of Variety WA in 2020, strengthening its commitment to helping WA children who are sick, disadvantaged or living with disability.
Since then, its support has extended well beyond its financial contribution.
Plunkett Homes raises awareness of Variety WA through its social media channels and display home signage, while the Variety WA logo is proudly stamped onto new home slab pours.
Its team has also supported Variety WA through hands-on volunteering, including packing emergency care bags and wrapping Christmas gifts for children and families.

“Plunkett Homes is incredibly proud to extend our partnership with Variety WA for another three years,” Plunkett Homes General Manager Michael Vermey said.
“Increasing our contribution to $30,000 a year reflects how much we value the work this charity does for West Australian children facing illness or disadvantage.”
Variety WA Chief Executive Officer Chris Chatterton said the renewed partnership demonstrated the value of businesses committing to their communities for the long term.
“As one of WA’s most established home builders, Plunkett Homes understands that strong communities are not built overnight. They are built through care, trust and a commitment to showing up year after year,” Mr Chatterton said.
“Their renewed support of Variety WA reflects those same values, and it will help us keep saying yes to children and families at the moments that matter most.”
The renewed partnership will help Variety WA continue providing practical, life-changing support to children and families across Western Australia, including mobility equipment, communication devices, education support, scholarships and inclusive experiences.
By continuing to invest its people, platform and resources into the partnership, Plunkett Homes is helping build stronger foundations for WA children—not only today, but for the years ahead.
